2024 Achievement Winner

“We used to be a high input operation with many applications of fertilizer and chemicals each year.  Through the adoption of Regenerative Farm practices, we have learned to care for the land first and be concerned about money second.  It has been very rewarding to learn about the soil and have deeper understanding of how we can work with nature rather than fighting it every chance we get.

Through the use of a diverse cash crop rotation, cover crops where time and weather allow, and dedication to no-till, unless field smoothing is needed, we have eliminated the use of fungicides, insecticides, reduced fertilizer and herbicide use to roughly 50%.  Our soils are now infiltrating water at a higher level and we are providing a home for the countless animals, insects, and microbes.  We now have a more balanced work load throughout the year and less financial stress.”
